Caring Lake Mead Health and Rehabilitation Center
This is a really a nice place to live. It does have it's draw backs i.e. somettimes it takes 30-45 min. for the CNA to answer a call light sometimes you never get your mail. Other than that this place is really nice. The staff, with the exception of patient accounting, is really great. It is quite and very pleasant.

My name is Jason D I lived at Lake Mead Health and Rehab for over 9 years. I’m paralyzed from my chest down and a double amputated legs. It felt like a family based relationship. The staff there are very caring people. I was very young when I first went there. There was a couple people there at that time that were my age. But there was a lot of staff there that made me feel like I was human again. I was in a car wreck that ended my two daughters life and my love of my life and my wife. Everyone there at the time would say you are part of the family. After losing mine and then being told I was welcomed as part of the family at Lake Mead. My only complaint would be the food but it’s a hospital right well close enough. The nurses there are awesome and they really know their stuff I had a problem and I would always think I knew what was best boy was I ever wrong now the CNAs they work there little butts of considering they are always short handed. It’s not that they don’t have the staff it’s how the state does it on all skilled nursing homes and this one has over 225Patients the upper staff are awesome I was fortunate enough to see a nurse go from a LPN and going to school and raising kids Hope was as always good to me. I know if I could come back I wouldn’t waist a minute I. Really miss the family and friends I made there I know I would give this facility an A+ I’m the reason I can’t go back I did some really stupid stuff and lied to one of the people who had my back for years I apologize Hope and everyone there. I also want to put this out there I’m not writing this to try to get back in the door. I’m writing this because the last couple months I’ve been in the hospital for Covid19 I was all alone in the hospital all my family and friends are back home in Kansas. Before my dad passed away he told me felt better knowing I was in good hands because over all the years I talked to him it was always about where my dad didn’t have to worry about me I couldn’t tell him I screwed up like I always have and was refused to come back over things I knew better I understand their rules it’s to make sure I was safe and everyone there was safe I still give this place 4 1/2 stars they would have a 5 stars but the food is really bad which when I first arrived they had really good food then they sold out from one company to another Lake Mead Health and Rehabilitations I will say they will make you feel like a part of the family God Bless you Lake Mead hands up your family to me if I’m there or not I thank you all

I came to this facility and I had my doubts; I wanted to give up on myself. I can honestly say because of the people here, I changed my thoughts and I look forward to going to therapy everyday and to get back home to my daughter. The people here have given me another chance at life and I feel like I have a purpose in life, we all have a purpose in life. I’m in the restaurant business and the food is excellent. The staff and management, everyone here treats you with respect. It’s nothing that I expected, but I’m so thankful that I made a decision to stay here and do my therapy at Lake Mead.

This place is wonderful. It has been a life saver for my mom who had suffered from severe neglect at a previous facility. Exemplary skilled doctors, nurses, staff, administrators and physical therapist, they are extremely dedicated and deligent at “Caring towards all the patients”. You may notice how tirelessly the staff works to insure that the residents are happy, but above all they have demonstrated that caring for others has a great value. Lake Mead is a “Gem” for skilled nursing facilities in Henderson due to all the services they provide for their residents....This Facility is what a skilled nursing should be. The energy the staff shares with the patients is what makes this place special for they are truly there for your loved ones.

Therapy is good, very professional. I like that you can smoke here, outside in designated areas. The food is superior. Nurses and social workers are very good. I highly recommend Lake Mead!
