Our patients, residents and their families regularly tell us how we're doing in our annual and discharge surveys. Their survey scores are combined to generate the average customer service rating you see here. Survey results are also used in our center's quality improvement meetings to help us improve care and better meet and exceed our customers' expectations.

I would like to Thank Donald and Angelica for taking such great care of there patients even if they have so much to do. Every time I come here there always at there best! Also you have such a wonderful person that does your bingo and recreation stuff Rebecca always tries her hardest to make everything and everybody happy. She sure does do a wonderful job with bingo and the fiesta plus a whole lot of other thing. One more Thank you to Darrin who always runs circles around what needs to be done around there!

I was a patient at Silver Creek Manor for almost 3 months and in that time, I think I got to see what goes on and how hard these people work for their patient. For sure, sometimes call lights are answered slower and I didn't always brag about the taste or the quality of the food. But taken as a whole, this is really a great place. I've been in 3 other rehab centers in the San Antonio area and none compare to this place. The nursing staff are generally kind and patient. Managers are always present and stopping by the room to check that I don't have any issues or complaints. I also had an ambassador that came by a few times every week to check how clean my room was, to ask if I was comfortable and sleeping well. They really DO run a top-notch facility at Silver Creek Manor. I read some of the other reviews before writing this and I can tell you one thing.... the bad ones I saw don't really have anything to do with the truth. I saw first-hand how caring, how dedicated, and how professional their staff really behave and I can tell you from my experience - I am nothing short of grateful. Thanks to each and every soul that makes Silver Creek a first-rate hospital and rehab center.

Outstanding, professional and courteous just to name a few. The entire staff will do what’s needed and one review stated some of the nursing staff wasn’t nice, then show me one place in the entire world where everybody’s perfect. Every place has a bad apple and if that’s the case they won’t be working at Silvercreek.

In looking back over my volunteering days of two consecutive years at Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, I can truthfully say that it was a very pleasant and most rewarding experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed donating my time to become an integral part of helping with the residents there. In regards to all the departments...from the Facility Director's Office & Staff, Director of Nursing & Staff, Director of Activities, Social Worker, Receptionist, Nursing Staff, CNAs, Medication Aides, Food Service/Kitchen Staff, and on to the Housekeeping, and Maintenance Departments, were all very helpful, on point, and worked in collaboration with each other for the purpose to accommodate, take care of, be there for all the needs of the residents, and to maintain the facility to the highest of its standards. "KUDOS" To All Of You!!! However, at this time, I would like to give special recognition, and a huge bundle of thanks to Mrs. Rebecca Vera, Director of the Activity Department there at Silver Creek. Mrs. Vera allowed me the opportunity to work side by side with her as a Volunteer Assistant Activity Director...And, WOW, I thought that was pretty special and so cool for me just an ordinary volunteer to be promoted to that position status by her!! As a volunteer under the "AWESOME" Mrs. Vera's supervision, l learned a whole lot, and we worked in unison to get the job done with providing activities along with assistance and care for the residents of whom I enjoyed immensely sharing my time with in order to let them know that in addition to the Medical care they receive on a daily basis, Mrs. Vera and I were also there to possibly fill some of life's other voids they are experiencing (i.e., family absences, lending an ear/listening, giving them a smile, showing them attention, or just providing them with good company and conversation). I can truly say that Mrs. Vera is very knowledgeable in her job position. She is very in tuned with the residents who are in her care during her activity sessions, to include being very aware and cautious of their health and safety, by which she monitors their food intake, physical restrictions, and more to avoid any additional medical problems. Not only in the group activity settings for the residents (i.e., bingo, music time, parties, church, etc..) does she provide special care and attention for them, but Mrs. Vera also devotes one-on-one time to those residents who are unable to join group activity gatherings by personally visiting with them in their rooms to provide readings, show & tell, general conversation, etc. She delivers personal mail to the residents and does many, many other good services to spread all of her most passionate care, deeds, understanding, and personal assistance. In addition, she also spends some of her free time, off the clock, doing personal shopping errands for residents as needed upon their requests. Mrs. Rebecca Vera goes above and beyond the maximum requirements of her job duties for rhe residents, and their activities. Therefore, I can and will attest to the fact that Mrs. Vera is a one-of-a-kind jewel, and most Phenomenon Activity Director Ever!!! From my volunteer experience and established rapport there at Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, I would highly recommend anyone in need to seek residency at their Facility! Thank you, Gail Walker Former Activity Dept. Volunteer

Three weeks ago I couldn't walk or talk - the nursing and rehab staff literally saved my life. I couldn't stand up on my own - it took two or three big guys just to stand me up. My family was told at the hospital that I'd never walk or talk again. I was transferred to Silvercreek Manor because I was told this was one of the favorite clinics associated with the VA and the location is very near my home. Three weeks after my admission I am eternally grateful to the staff and the doctors at Silvercreek as I walk out of here on my way home without so much as a walker or cane. I have absolutely no need of any help from others. In fact, I feel better now than I did before I had my accident. James Hubberd "tortured me" in therapy. LOL. Good guy - James worked really hard to get me back on my own two feet. My balance has returned - my recovery is 10,000% since I got here. Thanks to Annette, Gabby, Liana, Falguni, Elaine, Cristian and all the wonderful therapists who worked hard to get me to this point. I am grateful to the social worker Kimberly who has been more than helpful planning for my discharge home. Thank you Rick from dietary who always took extra care getting me hot ham and cheese sandwich when I didn't like the choice of meals. Kevin and Chioma from the nursing department were always attentive, kind, and thoughtful. The director of nursing Miriam and her staff are the best I've ever encountered. EVERYONE has been soo good to me here and I've learned how to take care of myself in a way that will hopefully prevent future hospitalization.
